do you travel?
HELL YES! Thanks to my Father, I have a deep, deep love for travel. I'm not sure my wanderlust is ever fully satisfied. Marc and I both have our passports, as well as a bucket list of places we're dying to shoot: Joshua Tree National Park, Helsinki, Chicago, anywhere in Iceland, plus a few more. If you're planning a trip to any of these places, contact us! If your destination isn't on the list, hit us up anyways. We want to photograph as much love in as much of the world as possible.
We're also dual based in Utah (Salt Lake City area).
how do we receive our photos?
Via online gallery! You'll be able to download all edited high res files directly from there, un-watermarked with a simple 4 digit PIN. Galleries are hosted for 1 year from the publish date.
do you have reviews from past clients?
Yep! We have 40+ 5 star reviews from past couples on our WeddingWire page. You can also find more kind words on Facebook!
what is required to book with you?
how did you get into photography?
Not to be cliche, but I've had a camera in my hands almost as long as I can remember. My Daddy always took me and my sisters to new places like New Orleans, Washington, D.C., and Destin and I always had a good stock of those disposable film cameras on me. When I was a junior in high school, my big sister was a senior. At the time, we couldn't afford to get her portraits professionally done, so I offered to do them. From there I really fell in love with portraiture. As for weddings, I got a job at JCPenney Portrait Studio in Dallas after graduation. I had a couple come in for their engagement photos and they loved them so much, they asked if I did weddings. I said sure! on January 1, 2011 I photographed my first wedding. I stick with photography because not only is it my passion, but because I know just how important freezing those moments in time is. My Daddy, who has always been my biggest cheerleader in life, has been struggling with Alzheimer's for years. He doesn't recognize me anymore, but his life and his memories live on through images that I will cherish the rest of my life.
I require a 25% non-refundable retainer to book your wedding or 50% non-refundable retainer for your portrait session. The remaining balance for weddings is due no later than 30 days before the wedding date. Portrait remaining balances are due at the end of the session. Swan Photography accepts cash, check, money order, Chase QuickPay, Honeybook, and Square.
what qualifies as a destination wedding?
Anything outside of the great state of Texas. We're obsessed with documenting the relationship of two people in love AND exploring new places. When the two coincide, it really is the best of both worlds. Our passports are current and we're always up for an adventure. We have Oklahoma, Louisiana, California, Utah, Hawaii, Tennessee, Oregon, Mexico, and British Columbia under our belts.
DO YOU OFFER VIDEOGRAPHY?
DO YOU SHOOT SAME SEX WEDDINGS?
ABSOLUTELY. Everyone is welcome at Swan Photography. We believe in love and equal rights for all humans.
YASSSS! We are starting the dive into Photo + Video as of late 2019. Marc is insanely passionate about creating films. You can check out our current portfolio HERE!
