I have a love/hate relationship with social media. I hate it for the same reasons most people do--it's an addictive soul suck. But I LOVE it because it introduces me to people like Mikki + Andrew. Thanks, Facebook.
These babes were visiting a friend in Dallas from Rochester, NY and made a point of having their engagement session done somewhere gorgeous while they were in town. It was a quick 30 minute session, which was just about the perfect amount of time before the sweltering Texas heat got the best of us.
The glorious part about shooting at the Dallas Arboretum is that there are so many lovely spots to use as backdrops. It's easy to find the big, scenic spots everyone knows and loves, but it's also great to find intimate little pockets of garden away from the crowds. We shot these on a Sunday morning, so there were minimal people and much "cooler" weather in comparison with later that day.
With pictures this amazing, obviously they loved their gallery ;) But here is what Mikki had to say: "Our experience was nothing but amazing! We traveled from Rochester NY to Dallas to visit a friend and decided to get engagement photos done. Not being from Texas, we were super nervous about getting photos done. I can say we are beyond glad that out of all the recommendations we received we picked Swan Photography. They made everything so simple and beautiful from the beginning to the end of our session. I would highly recommend them to anyone!"
Without further ado, here are their photos!
