DO YOU TRAVEL?
HELL YES.
Thanks to my Dad, I have a deep love for travel. I'm not sure my wanderlust is ever fully satisfied. We want to photograph as much love in as much of the world as possible. We're based in New Mexico, but travel everywhere. Follow along with our travels using #swanderlust on Insta.
For our Texas brides, we will absolutely shoot your wedding. We do have a travel fee that will be added to your coverage.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes, we do! We can split the invoice into multiple payments so it's easier than paying the 75% balance all at once. So long as the balance is paid by the 30 day deadline.
HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
Via online gallery! You'll be able to download all edited high resolution images directly from there with a simple 4 digit PIN. Galleries are delivered within 4-6 week of your wedding date (1-2 weeks from your portrait session) and are active for 1 year.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK YOU?
We require a 25% non-refundable retainer to book your wedding or a 50% non-refundable retainer for your portrait session, along with a signed contract. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before your wedding date. Portrait balances are due at the end of the session. We accept payments via card payment, check, or cash. Invoices and contracts are sent through our CRM, Honeybook.
CAN WE BUILD A CUSTOM PACKAGE?
Absolutely! Rather have Bridals than Engagement portraits? Swap 'em out. Need more coverage? Just say when. Getting married outside of the US? Our passports are ready.
HOW DID YOU GET INTO PHOTOGRAPHY?
Not to be cliche, but I've had a camera in my hands for almost as long as I can remember. My Daddy always took me and my sisters on epic adventures like New Orleans and Washington D.C. that I captured on those little disposable film cameras. When I was a junior in high school, my oldest sister was a senior. We couldn't afford to get her senior pictures done, so I offered to shoot them. From there, I really fell in love with portraiture. My first job out of high school was at a JCPenney Portrait Studio in Dallas. I had a couple come in for their engagement session and loved it so much, they asked if I did weddings. Being a broke college kid, I said, "OF COURSE I DO!" I photographed my first wedding January 1, 2011. I'm passionate about photography not only because I love it, but because I know just how important freezing those moments in time is. My Daddy, who was always the biggest cheerleader in my life passed away in 2020 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He didn't recognize me during the last few years, but his memory will live on through images that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CASE OF EMERGENCY AND YOU CAN'T MAKE IT TO OUR WEDDING?
We will hire an associate photographer as backup. This will be someone we trust professionally, someone who also works in the wedding photography industry to step in should it be needed. That photographer will then send the files to us and we will edit them in our signature true to life style. In our 11 years of shooting weddings, this has happened two times ever.
DO WE HAVE TO PRINT OUR IMAGES THROUGH YOU?
Not at all, though our print lab is designed for professional photographers so the quality is going to be the best. You do have the print rights, so take them where you'd like. Here's a tip though: avoid places like Walgreens/Costco/Walmart for printing as they're consumer based labs that aren't calibrated for professional photography. They're known to destroy print quality, resulting in grey/green skin tones (which makes us sad).
