2024's fall wedding season started with a BANG! and what an explosion of love it has been so far!
I woke up at 3 a.m. on Friday, September 13th to drive the 10 hours from DFW to Albuquerque for a weekend wedding on the 14th. Prior to that trip, I had booked Josh and Cole's wedding in the Plaza for 2025. These gents wanted an engagement session, but they're from Colorado and I'm in Texas, yet our schedules miraculously aligned. It really was perfect considering the day of their session was exactly one year until their wedding at La Fonda! After resting for a couple hours in Albuquerque, I got back in the car for the 2 hour roundtrip drive north to Santa Fe. If you're reading this and thinking, "holy shit what is wrong with you?!", the answer is that I am a people pleaser to my core and I will do anything for my clients :) Let me tell y'all: IT WAS WORTH IT!
Santa Fe was a glorious 77 degrees with the most golden, glowy light. It almost felt like we had the entire historic Plaza to ourselves. That's probably a good thing, considering how often I was excitedly squeeling about how freaking GOOD the session was. Seriously, they're some of my favorite photos everrrrr! It was also fun to bond with the guys over our families both being from Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduating from Indiana University (not me, but my Dad).
Anyhow, I know you're ready to see the photos already soooooooooooo
And there you have it! What did I tell you? They're amazing. Josh and Cole, I'm so freaking thrilled to be your wedding photographer. Next September is going to be GLORIOUS!
