Jess + Trish | Same-Sex Engagement Session at the Albuquerque Volcanoes

In a world where love knows no bounds, Jess and Trish stand as living proof. These two vibrant souls, both traveling wedding photographers with a penchant for adventure, have crafted a life filled with spontaneity and passion.

Splitting their time between roaming the open road in their custom van with their three fur babies and calling Houston, Texas, home, they've become experts at finding beauty in unexpected places.

Jess and I have been internet friends for a few years, but were finally able to meet in person a few months back when they made a pit stop in Albuquerque. We grabbed coffee at Novel Point downtown (highly recommend, btw. They're the best coffee shop in ABQ), and chatted about the state of the wedding industry, marketing, and life. It's always fun finding your personality twin! When they drove back through a few weeks later, we met up at the same spot again. Luckily for all of us, they were staying a few days this time around. When Jess told me that they had their wedding attire already with them, I knew we had to do a session.

On a particularly memorable Valentine's Day, Jess, Trish, myself, and Marc trekked the rugged landscape of the Three Sisters volcanoes here in Albuquerque. The sun dipped low on the horizon, painting the sky in hues of blue and gold, and they held onto each other while we all tried to ignore the chilly wind.

Unfortunately almost all of the trails were closed, so we couldn't go on top of any of the volcanoes. We made due with what we had though and I'm obsessed.

It's always the biggest compliment when a fellow photographer wants you to photograph them. Their session was doubly awesome because I got to photograph not one, but two wedding photographers! With the towering peaks of the Sandia Mountains as the backdrop, they danced, laughed, and stole kisses.

For Jess and Trish, this photo shoot was more than just a chance to document their love—it was an opportunity to celebrate the journey they've shared and the adventures that lie ahead.

As they drove off into the night, their van illuminated by the soft glow of city lights, they continued on their journey, hand in hand and hearts full of dreams, they knew that their love story was just beginning—a tale of adventure, passion, and endless possibility.

The next day Marc and I welcomed them into our cozy townhome for dinner, hangouts, and lots of laughs. They arrived with flowers, candy, and toys for our kiddos (whom they never had met) and have since been dubbed Callum and Everett's gay aunties <3 We love them so much! It'll be even better living closer once we move back to Texas this summer.

Congratulations, besties! I can't wait to see where your next adventure leads.
